ANIMAL -SACRIFICE IN RELIGIOUS PRACTICES : SEEING EVERYTHING FROM THE SURFACE MAY NOT HELP IN GETTING TO THE TRUTH.
IN BHARAT-VARSHA (India)IN CERTAIN PRACTICES, OFFERING ANIMALS(GOAT)IS NOT PRIMITIVE BUT TRUELY SPIRITUAL.(IN 'PRE-AXIAL CIVILISATIONS' PEOPLE USED TO OFFER EVERY ANIMAL THEY KILLED TO THEIR (TRIBAL)God AND THEN EAT IT, WHILE IN EXTRA-MODERN CIVILISATION LIKE OURS WE KILL WITHOUT ASKING FOR any SANCTION FROm GOD and EVEN DO IT for SPORT.
iN bHARAT-VARSHA(INDIA -a greek slang) CERTAIN NON-VEG SECTIONS (e.g Bengalees) FIRST OFFER THE ANIMAL(goat) TO THE DIVINITY(and also other articles like sweets, food ,fruits, rice etc ) AND THEN TAKE IT. EVEN IN 'GEETA' ,MORE THAN 3,500 YRS OLD ,:
"Whwtever you do,observe or give, meditate or even you EAT / Do them all in my name and after offering me //(Geeta - 9/27 )So, in deeper sense this is a good practice but, sadly , we do not read our scripture these days or if read, do not practise!
Even in Vedantic Scripture ,( be fore all the modern Post-axial Global religion,) it was advised, that man, for the sake of spirituality ,should give up animality (pashuttwa or base natures)in them. But Civilisation has cleverly avoided it to persue 'progress' and is practising killing animals as a good sport ! - pibi
