The two supreme paths for the realisation of the Absolute are - i)Samkhya or discriminatory way and ii) Raja Yoga or Meditation(going within). The Modern Cosmology , to me , is also the path of dicriminatory knowledge or `Samkhya`.
Our mind vibrates with matter to create a condition called Desire and involves our ego to to fulfil it. This vedantic idea is so similar to Modern String theory that concludes that energy vibrates to form matter and creates everything that is known as Universe. Where Science can not prove what mind is Vedanta concludes that mind is the terminal point of matter where mutability takes the form of immutabily (Matter-wave quality)'
As sea-wave is not separate from sea-water or heat is not separate from fire or milk is not separate from its whiteness, the Universe is not separate from its Cosmic intelligence or Brahman.
Our conscious mind is nothing but our soul, trapped by the vibrating cosmic Mind or` Mahat` through the manifesting cosmic vibration of `sattwa`, `Rajo` and `Tamo` or tri-vbrating frequencies like frequencies of EMF -vibration giving different forms of light.
Attainment of worldly or super-human power has nothing to do with spiritual growth or realisation of the Divine.
