VITAL DESIRE

Like pimples it comes out

as prickly -heat , it tickles you -or

with pas son we want to possess

or with cravings we swallow in

because and as if more often than not

our ill-health is , perhaps, exciting us.

It is conceived within our smaller ' I '

Ego's tentacled and vital growth

wants to enclose every way and shrinks to give

Vital Desire; though Nature's out-growth

More you trim it - more branch out

nurture it not or - let it die .
