Our real identity is not our boby or mind but our soul-consciousness. When we die, it is our soul-consciousness that survives the death and is transferred to our next life with our qualitative assets and experiences.
Everything and every being from matter, microbe to insect to animal to man is invisible continuum of Divine existence. By Vedantic faith this Monistic unity of existence beyond apparent division is the ultimate Truth or reality beyond relativity. Sense of division is ignorance; sense of unity Knowledge.
Without a mirror or reflecting media, we can not ,even, see our own face. Without Consciousness , we would not be alive to know anything,- not even God.
The universe exists in our Consciousness only, and also because of the mechanism of ; Observer(know er),. Field of observation(Objective Universe) and the resultant effect of observation IE Knowledge itself.
" I think so I am " told Descartes "; `But, I am so I can think` is also a more rational line of thinking , if we admit that cosciousness is the result of the First Casuse. Whether the physical Universe existed first or Cosmic consciousness preceded the mutable cosmos , "is the question".
Spirituality is integrated attitude of living and knowledge embracing all and even the conscious man, on the highest rung of Evolutionary Ascent, is the truth yet to be established.
Religion and spirituality may not ,often, mean the same depth and level of Consciousness..
