MODERN TIME :
In olden golden days of early evolutionary emancipation of life and beginning of collective living , (early Civilisation), life-mind complex was simpler rather collective , with deep faith in `higher power and in Divine's authority. But now with intelligence at its peak, over -growth of egoistic approach for deciding every issue at individual or national level ,seem to have started breeding global crisis at every level of living and leading to collective degeneration or death.
In the early vedic period ,our forefathers used to rise early to greet the rising Sun, Saluting Divinity and praying for higher life..
To-day, , in Electronic age, we rise late, grab the News paper or click the TV channel with a cup of coffee (while still in bed) and scan the `news` of our Choice like Murders , Rapes or Spicy Social scandals, or story of other crimes (. divorces , political scandals , Iraq-war ,Terrorism or some other`interesting absorbing affairs until, Tv-Talk-show`s spicy exposition of certain interesting or tragic social eents are made very spicy with juicy details by smart hosts with microscopic details to keep us intoxicated (themselves protected under 1st Amendmrnt.)
Borrowing the words of swami Vivekananda (1893-98), the modern civillisation has given us more ways of happiness , technology and sesual-enjoyment and yet, multiplied our anxieties and sufferings! Are we happier today than our fore-fathers were, with all gifts of modern civilisations !
