There has been more deaths in the name of religion, since Civilisation, than total death s in all the wars put together (after the author of ` Adventure in Consciousness`[on life of Sri Aurobindo])
[Yet the record- killing on a single day in World War II , may be Hiroshima-incidence]
All` religions ,even after recorded reformations , gather blind habits /faith /local or regional ritualism like old/static stones gathering moss.
I believe , Religion really means the way we live our life and the way we respond not only to our neighbour but also the way we treat not only all humanity but all living -beings .Religion should not be a mere social, ethnic or political identity issue or ID-code.
Historically, all post-Axial Religions suffer from Identity-crisis, as recent Scientific studies prove.
The word `sacrifice,` does not mean - `animal -sacrifice` but the `sacrifice of `animality` within ourselves(Vedanta -view).
